Through My Eyes

About Me

Welcome to Through My Eyes, a website showcasing some of my opinion journalism seeking to highlight Indigenous strength and resilience. My name is Jasmin, and I am from the Tla’amin Nation on the upper Sunshine Coast of BC. As an aspiring Indigenous social worker, I am passionate about uplifting the voices of my people and highlighting the strengths of intergenerational healing and resilience in the face of colonialism’s impacts. I am deeply passionate about supporting Indigenous youth with developing a positive sense of identity and belonging through sports, culture, language, and connecting to the land.
